Multiple Successful Approaches to Pain
Life Medical Monthly Newsletter
Chronic pain is one of the most complex conditions in medicine — and one of the most undertreated. At Life Medical, we take a multi-modal approach that combines the best of conventional and integrative medicine to address pain from multiple angles simultaneously. Here is an overview of the tools we use.
Chiropractic Care
Spinal manipulation and chiropractic adjustments are among the most evidence-supported non-pharmacological treatments for back pain, neck pain, and headaches. Our chiropractors use a range of techniques tailored to each patient's age, condition, and preferences — from gentle mobilization to more traditional adjustments.
Class IV Laser Therapy
High-powered laser therapy penetrates deep into tissues to reduce inflammation, accelerate healing, and relieve pain at the cellular level. It is particularly effective for joint pain, tendinopathies, nerve pain, and post-surgical recovery. Most patients notice improvement within 3-6 sessions.
Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists address the biomechanical contributors to pain — muscle imbalances, movement dysfunction, weakness, and poor posture. A targeted exercise and manual therapy program not only reduces pain but builds the strength and resilience to prevent recurrence.
Medical Cannabis
For patients with chronic pain that has not responded adequately to other treatments, medical cannabis can provide significant relief — particularly for neuropathic pain and inflammatory conditions. We provide certification and ongoing guidance for appropriate candidates.
Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine
Acupuncture has a strong evidence base for multiple pain conditions and works through mechanisms distinct from other treatments — making it an excellent complement to chiropractic, physical therapy, and medical management. Nutritional interventions to reduce systemic inflammation round out our integrative approach.
Pain does not have to be permanent. With the right combination of treatments, most patients can achieve meaningful and lasting relief. We would be glad to discuss which approaches might be most helpful for your situation.
