Life Medical offers four different types of medical treatments to help patients manage and lose weight:

NeuroResearch Protocol

Dr. Jacob Mirman offers a commonsense, sustainable approach to manage weight and promote a healthy long term lifestyle.

Dr. Mirman believes that for most people, weight loss is not possible without adequate appetite suppression. He also maintains that to be effective in weight loss patients have to learn how to figure out the energy value of the food they eat and limit it to the agreed upon caloric intake.

The NeuroResearch protocol involves taking natural, drug-free supplements as “medicine”. These supplements are an incredibly effective appetite suppressant and have allowed countless patients to curb their appetites and lose weight.

Acupuncture has experienced a steady increase in popularity of the past 40 years. With a growing body of scientific studies showing acupuncture’s effectiveness in providing pain relief, researchers and health practitioners have been actively engaged in a quest to understand the full potential of acupuncture.

Recent studies have shown that when acupuncture is combined with traditional methods of weight loss, patients lose more weight. Acupuncture can also help in food addictions. In these cases, one to three acupuncture weight loss sessions can be safe and effective in helping people achieve reasonable weight loss goals.

Weight loss consults are done in person at Life Medical’s main location in St. Louis Park. Call 952-933-8900 to request an appointment.
