Announcing infection management on Zoom

In preparation for the expected arrival of Covid-19/coronavirus disease to the Twin Cities, Life Medical has instituted a system for remote management of infections called Zoom.
If you have a respiratory infection, like the flu or a cold, please do not come to the clinic in person.
This way you will protect yourself and others from cross-contamination. Dr. Mirman will see you on Zoom and recommend appropriate management. In most cases a physical exam is not necessary. In cases where an exam or a blood test is deemed necessary, you will be asked to come in to our clinic or to an urgent care center.

To schedule an in-clinic or Zoom appointment, please call 952-933-4900. If your call is routed to voicemail, please leave a message. Our schedulers will return your call promptly.

Billing
Zoom visits for MN patients with medical insurance can be billed to their insurance if it covers our clinic, and specifically Dr. Mirman (Medica, United Healthcare and related entities do not cover Dr. Mirman’s services due to certain philosophical differences). Uninsured patients will be charged $150.00 for the initial visit and continued follow-up until the acute disease has resolved.

Homeopathy can be very effective in treating infectious disease
In many cases Dr. Mirman may suggest homeopathic remedies to manage your condition in addition to other indicated modalities. Homeopathy is very effective in infectious disease, including epidemic disease. Historically it has saved many lives in epidemics like cholera, diphtheria, influenza and others. The homeopathic remedy can be prescribed during the Zoom visit, provided at no charge outside the clinic (or purchased at Whole Foods), and the case will continue being managed closely by phone.

Our website http://www.FluSolution.net offers the historical data mentioned above along with research and detailed instructions on the use of homeopathic medications in influenza and flus/colds. We believe the same medications will address Covid-19/coronavirus disease, but are still working to gather further information to confirm this.

On Tuesday March 10, Dr. Jacob Mirman appeared on the KQRS Morning Show with Tom Barnard.

During the KQRS Morning Show segment, Tom told listeners how one of the best benefits he gains from taking medical cannabis for his PTSD is his improved sleep. “I used to have to take both Trazodone and Xanax every night to get to sleep,” says Tom. “Then I moved to a combination of Trazodone and Wellbutrin. Now that I am on medical cannabis for PTSD I have been able to get off of both these prescription drugs and I sleep much much better. I highly recommend medical cannabis for people who have qualifying conditions.”

When asked about sleep improvements from medical cannabis, Dr. Jacob Mirman said, “People have great improvements in the area of sleep with medical cannabis. Some with sleep apnea are able to get rid of the CPAP machine. Others are better able to tolerate it. And the dosage most often does not need to be increased; people don’t build up an immunity to medical cannabis like some people do with sleeping pills/traditional pharmaceuticals. Because patients sleep better they have much more energy during the day and see their lives improving in a variety of ways.”

LISTEN TO Dr. Mirman discuss how one of the benefits of medical cannabis is vastly improved sleep.
